This was a great season and I loved all of the idols and twists, but I will say it did feel more rigged than ever before. I was rooting for Ben to win anyway, but there’s no way that bringing the fire making challenge into the final four wasn’t designed to keep him around. I was no fan of Chrissy, but the secret advantage she got was not an advantage to her game because it kept the one player she was trying to get out for the last 5 weeks in the game.

I was rooting for Ben to win anyway, but there’s no way that bringing the fire making challenge into the final four wasn’t designed to keep him around. I was no fan of Chrissy, but the secret advantage she got was not an advantage to her game because it kept the one player she was trying to get out for the last 5 weeks in the game.

It felt odd, but I'm suspecting that they have to lay out the rules before the season even starts. I'm assuming that Probst will talk about that at some point. It feels rigged, but I think it just ended up being a really well-placed twist.

I'm glad that Ben won, because he played a much better game than most. I didn't hate Chrissy, but I hate smugness and she had it going on for quite a while toward the end. Ryan had no business being there, except for being a patsy that was brought along to be a non-winner. I thought Caleb(?) had a good chance to win the fire challenge. They even foreshadowed it by showing him starting fire that morning.

The secret advantage would have worked out if Ben wasn't such a strong competitor. I'm all for them changing it up and doing something different, so I'm glad that they did it how they did.

There was a lot of immunity idols in play though. Seems fishy, but again I'm imagining that they have to have this all planned out in advance, since it's a competition. They never show it, but there's always people there to explain the challenges before they start. There has to be rules for everything in place.
