I agree about the Hershel thing he finally got the time to shine that he needed but the flu arc definitely wasn't as bad as a lot of the others on the poll. I still dread watching those episodes when I re-watch the series though

The problem with the flu arc was that it was such a concentrated storyline. Realistically, given how they have to live, its far more likely that sickness is a permanent threat, not just concentrated to one time.
@wallykay as for Grady, they had already agreed to head to DC, so it wasn't necessary for that. It did move them to Shirewilt to see what the wolves did there and to get Tyreese killed, but again, it could have been done without Grady

The Governor/Andrea arc was dumb and I hope Mazarra feels ashamed. The lucille cliffhanger was also the tipping point of the ice burg that finally broke off. I know a lot of people (who after watching the premiere) quit the show. I didn't even watch all of the episodes live but I began to not care after that horrible marketing scheme.

It did drag on for a fair bit. Certainly could have done something else with all that time. Hershel's speech to Maggie is one of his high points on the show, for sure.

And which Steven Seagal? Under Siege, or the fat cop wanna-be? LOL
I could only get the fat cop wanna-be :(

A missed opportunity in the Grady arc would have been finding out what exactly happened to the Vatos
