Preorders went live yesterday and sold out within minutes, to no one's surprise. Of course I was really busy yesterday at work and didn't snag one.

Guess I'll be lining up with everyone else on release day. If stores even have any spare stock left.

I forgot so I missed out as well. I'm not much for crowds or standing in lines so I'll likely be missing out on release day too.

My friend went for me to grab the NES. He said it was pretty orderly at that time. There was a lineup when he got there, so he stood in line and got the last one. Mind you this was a small game store in a mall that doesn't get a ton of traffic.

You should be able to call stores in your area and get a feel for stock levels. Maybe find an out of the way one and stake it out. I'm probably going back to the same EB Games to wait.

Apparently Nintendo pulled their heads out of their asses and realized that there's some serious money to be made off these consoles.

The SNES will have more units available launch day than they shipped the entire run of the NES. Also, the NES will be returning to stores sometime in 2018. Good news if you're looking for either unit.
