I find Milton somewhat useless as well. He has no real medical knowledge and just seems like someone who is only merely interested in science with no knowledge.

and it says "Mazzara already has hinted at major deaths during this season, and CDL reported those deaths could include Rick Grimes before the season is complete." Im calling bullshit on this how can they kill off RIck the main character when he has survived in 105 comics

In all likelihood, Milton knew all about Penny, and the entire deal with Mr Coleman was working towards "curing" her for the Gov.

Milton seemed very emotionally involved in having Mr Coleman respond with some sort of recognition after reanimation. I think there may be some sort of revelation about a close reationship between him and Milton yet to come.

What if somehow Milton got away at the end and we just assumed he was devoured, it ends up that he becomes one of the Saviors.

Sounds like it was written by a 14 year old. Why would Hershel be missing of all people? He's pretty much immobile. Nothing really matches up with what we know already from previews and what not.
