It occurred to me that with all of our threads, we don't have one strictly dedicated to "Why I love Bethyl". This is your place for that. Nothing but love in here! Please feel free to post here anything you love about Bethyl, anything that reminds you of Bethyl, and/or anything that explains why this 'Ship means so much to you. This can be a simple statement, a theme, a quote, an image, or anything else you can think of that confesses your admiration for our Damn Romance Novel.

I'll start with a small list:

* I love seeing how the characters help each other grow and change

* I love how real it is portrayed with two people not initially liking each other and then having missteps and then discovering how much they care and depend on one another

* I love how it parallels Beauty & The Beast (as well as several other films but this one is my favorite parallel).

I love how they bring out the best in each other.

I love how Beth broke down Daryl's walls and he let her in.

I love how honest and open they are with each other.

I love how Daryl can't keep his hands off Beth and he doesn't pull away from her touch but welcomes it.
I could go on and on so I'll just say I love everything about these two. They belong together.

One of the things I love most about Bethyl is the change we saw in Daryl. I don't mean to make my love for the 'ship to be about just one character, but really that is what has initially attracted me to it and from there, everything just blossomed.

I think the BEST compliment in the world a man can give to a woman (or a partner to a partner) is for him to say: "you make me want to be a better person." And I think that is precisely what is happening with Bethyl.

I think Daryl, in his own way, by saying "you know", was telling Beth "you make me want to be a better man". His mind WAS changed and what changed it was Beth. Beth is making him *want* to be a better person. And I am just completely in love with that sentiment. Seeing that change in him and knowing how strong of a person she is - melt.

Absolutely agree. Beth made him want to be a better person, be the man she deserves, someone she can love and trust and rely on. And that's beautiful.



Adding to my romance novel list:

I love that they have this yin yang relationship. They both have what the other lacks so they complete each other perfectly.
I love how Daryl is overprotective of Beth. He'd do anything to keep her safe.
I love how Beth makes him smile. Not just grin or smirk but really SMILE.
I love that they make each other happy and it's written all over their faces.
I love that Daryl wanted to settle down with Beth and make a life together at the funeral home.
