    Carol's Shining Moments

Carol is an good character and I think Melissa Mcbride portrays her greatly. I just have a question: what do you think Carol's shining moments are from every season up to this point? Shining moments can include either words or deeds where she proved herself to you. I'll start. Here are Carol's shining moments:

    Season 1:

Standing up to Ed by saying, "I think Sophia wants to go." When they were about to go to the fish-fry.

Dealing with her dead husband to make sure he didn't reanimate.

    Season 2:

Braving the wrath of Daryl Dixon by allowing him to yell at her and stood her ground while being yelled at to remind him that he still has a place in the group and she won't give up on him at all.

    Season 3:

Telling Axel to stay away from Beth when he starts hitting on her.

Suggesting that Andrea should kill the Governor in his sleep.

Talking about her past and giving depth beyond the situation in the episode, "The Suicide King."

    Season 4:

Teaching the kids how to handle weapons

Putting down Lizzie when she turned out be dangerous (in other words, after she killed her sister).

Those are all the shining moments I can think of for Carol. If anyone has more you can put them here (and given that this forum has the hugest number Carol fans such as @The Walking Kwame, @HonkyTonkWoman, @Muthawalker, @Nana, @Caryl, and @whitestar1 I expect them to be here soon).

    I second everything you said.

I'm going to add handing the worst loss any parent can have with stoicism and finding a way to go on. In fact she saw beyond her own grief and saw that Daryl was grieving for his own reasons and reached out to him to bring him back into the group. Then she just kept going and dedicated herself to the group.

Another is recognizing Daryl's bond with Merle (when he came back with Merle) but also being honest with Daryl about Merle's negative pull. Like she told Beth "men like that get inside your head". She reaffirmed to Daryl that he was a man of honor and he could do better than just follow Merle.

Also handling Rick's exile of her by going back to get her girls instead of just giving in.

As much as I hate her I found her confession to Tyreese to be her best shining moment on the show, was really heartfelt of her and you could see it eating away at her that he didn't know, she didn't have to come clean to him bit I'm glad she did and that made have have a sense of respect for her that I didn't think I would have. So yeah for me her shining moment was when she confessed to Tyresse

How did I leave that out? Yes, that was another.

Yes, and not only did she confess to Tyreese what she did, but she handed him the gun as if to say that she was ready to accept whatever punishment Ty would bring down upon her. Even though we had been waiting for him to find out for over half a season already, I still felt unprepared for that moment and found myself really worried for her as she confessed to him.
Just another testament not only to Carol's character but to MMB's acting

Being strong no matter what she has went through. She didn't lash out and act a fool like some of them have during their pain.

My favorite shining moment is Carol's "Don't Underestimate Me" speech to Merle in season 3. Deleted scene as it may be, it showed just how badass she's become.
"If you screw this up... mess with Daryl... I will slit your throat in your sleep."
