I created this thread for the other users to post their Carick fan fiction. In the previous Carick love threads, some of them were talking about not knowing where to post their work (one of the reasons why we wanted a subforum). I thought of them and that's why this thread is here. I'm sorry I don't have any links yet, but hopefully the Carick fans who write them will post them soon!

@Don't Care - post all the smutty fan fic you want here, lol!

This is only a short scene to start and Ill need a few more scenes before the sex. I write kind of slow and am also working on something else (a twisted fairy tale) so I night be slower than normal but having this forum really inspires me. And Im sorry for any typos I just can't seem to completely eradicate them.

Alternate Reality Carick Style Scene 1

Carol sat, curled up on the corner of the brown couch. Light from the small lamp on the nearby end table bathed her in a soft light. A long since forgotten book lay open on her lap. She stared forward into the black night.
Judith’s breathing, soft and even over the baby monitor on the coffee table provided precious little comfort. Carol stood. The book, a murder mystery, fell with a thunk to the carpeted floor of the house they’d been assigned inside the so-called safe walls of Alexandria. Soon, Rick would return from patrolling the neighborhood.
And then, what? She crossed the room to the window and glanced up at the night sky. Nights were hard. And nights like this were even harder. The stars and moon hid behind heavy clouds turning the night sky into an empty void. Just like me, she thought with a resigned sigh.
Judith let out a small cry. Carol turned her head to face the monitor and waited. The baby’s breath evened out. Another false alarm. Her lips quirked into a wry smile at the little one’s reminder that she did have one purpose, the only one that mattered, her family.
The sounds of footsteps echoed in the otherwise silent night. She hurried back to the couch and snatched her book from the floor. Rick may know about her past, but her fears were her own. Moments later the door opened with a soft click.
Rick, handsome even with the collection of cuts and bruises that covered his face, poked his head around the corner. “Carol?”
She glanced up from her book with a forced grin. “Welcome home.”
“It’s late.You should be in bed.” He hovered around the doorway broadcasting his eagerness to escape.
“Is that an invitation?” she asked in her best no nonsense tone.
The tough cop who had stared into the depths of hell innumerable times froze at her flirting. “What?”
All the memories and voices that tormented her nightly disappeared. She stepped forward and placed a hand on his chest. “You wanted me in bed?”
“Sleep. I wanted you to sleep,” he said in a too serious voice.
She tilted her head to the side and laughed. Her hand fell away as Rick finally recognized her teasing for what it was.
“Goodnight.” He shook his head and chuckled. “Don’t stay up too late. Deanna called meeting with the whole town tomorrow.”
“Deanna is a fool.”
Rick nodded and turned to go upstairs. When he reached the middle Carol called out in a quiet voice, “Good Night Sunshine.”
“No,” he said and continued to climb.
“”Sweet Cheeks?” This time she couldn’t keep the laughter out of her voice.
“Good night Carol.” With that he vanished into the darkened upstairs.
She clicked off the lamp. All her family was home and safe. Now she could rest.
