    A Matter of Canon

    While this article doesn't specifically touch on Walking Dead, it does talk about comic adaptations, and the relation between the writer and the audience, and the fact that the audience can see things that the writer did not intend.

    If the writer did not intend it, then it's really not there. People can interpret it in all kinds of weird and wacky ways, but that's just in their head. Which is fine, but not canon. It can be fun to talk or write about, though. :)
