The books are great. Learning exactly what fucked the governor up was pretty satisfying. Even better, though, has been the story of Lilly Caul's attempt to pick up the shattered pieces of Woodbury and keep it going after the governor's meltdown and her eventual run in with a psychopathic religious leader bent on "saving" the rest of the living. I have mostly good things to say about the books. Bonansinga does tend to over-explain details, but he still does a pretty good job at keeping your attention.
