Who Were Ogg, Dwight and Wife Before the Turn?

Just as the thread name says and because the next 5 Sundays are going to be torture, it got me wondering about the other Saviors, the few that we have actually met, Ogg, Dwight and his wife (I think her name is Sherry). I am just wondering about your ideas of what these three did before the turn. Here are my ideas. Sherry, I get a possible coffee bar brist vibe. Dwight, maybe a member of Best Buys Geek Squad. As for Ogg, based on what we know about Negan, perhaps they were friends before the turn and since Ogg is more muscular than Lucille's wielder, perhaps he worked at the same high school as a Shop teacher/wrestling coach. Okay, this thread is purely out of boredom but surely I cannot be the only one to wonder who these people were. Negan is only as powerful as the enforcers behind him and they have stories, too.

Ogg's character gives off a construction guy vibe, a man who fixed people's porches on the weekends for some extra cash.

Dwight seems more like a car mechanic type of guy, maybe even worked on hotrods or old motorcycles for a living.

No idea about Sherry to be honest. Waitress, maybe?

Dwight was a mechanic. Hand down.
Sherry? She gives off a "grade-school" teacher vibe to me.
As for Steven Ogg? He totally ran a XXX-Movie Theater.

    Ogg was an angry mailman.

Dwight was probably Beth's babysitter. That would explain his temper. He drove all the way up to DC to get away from her. Only to encounter her bff Daryl. Hence the reason he hates him and wants all his shit.

And I've heard Sherry worked in the factory that made Dale's hat. This is pure speculation though since I don't trust my source.

Sherry - Bada Bing stripper. Those are some Silvio-paid-for-these grade bazooms. Maybe she'd wound up down south as part of the witness protection program just prior to ZA.

Dwight - Small time dealer & bike enthusiast. Sold Merle that mysterious blue crystal substance found in his 'first aid kit.' Distant albino cousin of Albuquerque resident Skinny Pete.

Steven Ogg - I love all the theories so far but 'angry mailman' totally cracked me up. I was thinking whatever he did, it wasn't legit. ie. hitman, porn-distributor, purveyor of low-grade hillbilly crank...but maybe he just dabbled in those on the side as mailmen don't exactly earn squillions. Plus, 'mailman' is a nice cover job for a lot of illicit activities and 'deliveries.'

I didn't want to start another thread but, on The Talking Dead this past Sunday, Ogg was asked if he thought that Negan and Simon knew each other before the turn, Ogg believes they did. Also, Ogg was asked what he thought Simon did before the turn, Ogg mentioned someone very intelligent and even mentioned working as someone like in the film the Big Short. His expectations of what Simon did surpass mine but I am just curious, has anyone got a new or changed opinion about Simon and his possible past life????

I saw this and found it interesting the thought he had put into his backstory, etc. He said Big Short or like someone in Glengary Glen Ross. Someone who was maybe doing something not fully on the up and up, but who was good at it and got the job done. I could see that....

Ogg was probably a lumberjack. I bet he'd get a lot of enjoyment from beating the shit out of trees.
    Even found a picture:

I think Dwight was probably a lot of things. Seems like the kind of guy that couldn't keep a job. A hard worker but would get easily frustrated. Sherry stayed with him because of his heart not his wallet but he tried his best to provide for Sherry and her sister but it was a huge struggle.

Sherry probably chipped in as a waitress or something.

I saw the TD interview too. I think Ogg's one of the most fun and enthusiastic guests that show's had. How can anyone not love the guy? I really hope his character isn't written out too soon. Liked his explanation of how Negan obviously trusts him enough to keep him on a "long leash" whereas most Saviors he feels the need to keep more of an eye on. I wouldn't be surprised if Simon & Negan knew each other pre ZA, but the opposite wouldn't surprise me either. Maybe one day we'll get their story.

Wasn't Ogg's answer to what he thought Simon may have done pre-apocalypse something along the lines of sub-prime mortgage broker? As plausible as that sounds, I still like the "angry mailman" theory best. I'd pictured him as someone doing a mundane, unfulfilling, and probably low-paid job pre-ZA, whilst in his spare time, dabbling in his passion for history, art, literature, classical music, possibly even teaching himself some latin. But he may have had some underworld connections as well, even taking on the odd assignment, ie. hitman, enforcer, which he'd have thoroughly enjoyed and had no ethical qualms about.

Then post ZA, an opportunity presents for him to seize a more challenging job where he can indulge his passions, showcase his talents, his charisma and his inner-crazy, and be the type of confederate, lieutenant, team-leader or whatever he'd always dreamed of. I don't see him as the type to ever usurp Negan as supreme leader of the Saviors. He appears completely in his element right where he is and, unlike other Saviors, has no inner conflict or reservations about either Negan's leadership or his own place in that world.

And I can't believe I'd never heard of The Big Short. I must've been living under a rock when it came out. It looks essential viewing.
