    Leonard Cohen Dies At 82.

Canadian singer, songwriter, artist, novelist and poet Leonard Cohen has died at the age of 82 his representatives have announced. Often prone to bouts of depression throughout his life, his often witty, self deprecating and charming manner was reflected through his song lyrics. He is probably best known for the songs "Hallelujah", "Bird on a Wire" and "Suzanne" but his career spanned over six decades.

He was often referred to as "the Godfather of Gloom" or "the High Priest of Pathos".

RIP and thanks for all the misery. For people of a certain temperament, it was priceless.

    RIP.

82 is a good age to go though. I hope I will reach that age.

My dad was a big fan of his for as long as he can remember. I didn't really care for him when I was young because, well, I was a kid. But that quickly changed once I heard Hallelujah. What a voice. I became a fan of him after that and an even bigger fan once I learned that we not only share the same birthday, but that he was born just a couple of blocks away from me.

His son Adam also sings, saw him a couple of times here and there. Very underrated but very talented.

    Great voice, great man. RIP.

WHAT?!? Wow, how many "real" musicians are gonna go this year? I loved LC. I thought his song "Waiting for the Miracle" made Natural Born Killers so much better than if it hadn't been included. I've listened to him for years and always thought he was the darker version of Dylan. Horrible loss. But thanks for the great music Mr. Cohen. RIP.
