I think they're letting those deer rest for now. They'll drop them in to scenes at editing. Of course, this means we don't get to catch glimpses of them during filming... which is a huge disappointment. I know my summer won't be as complete...

Today was day 3 of episode 8.1. Filming took place in Hampton over on Highway 20 and also at Old Griffin Rd. Carl was the only character spotted. Several walkers were also on set.

A scene was witnessed where Carl got out of the "bird van" (aka Rick & Michonne's mobile love nest) and then starts walking around with a gas canister. Check out the pictures. Carl is looking a lot like his papa today. Perhaps a nifty callback to the very first episode? Let's hope this big 100th episode will be chocked full of callbacks and parallels! It's already looking so good!

Tomorrow filming continues over in Hampton again on highway 20. If you got out, please be respectful and keep us posted with any updates!!

You might have some luck Friday. It depends on what time they stop filming. Sometimes they film late. You could still check out the filming sites - Walking Dead Locations has a map of them and people have used drones to get some good shots.
