Oh, hell. I just posted this two years ago, right above Anton's last post. Sorry. I've slept since then.

I hear ya. The state of the world in America is pulling my guts out.

My favorite podcast is The Tobolowky files. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...es/id339001481 Stephen Tobolowsky is a universally recognized character actor (e.g. Ned Ryerson in Groundhog day) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Tobolowsky who is also someone I grew up with. Literally just a couple of blocks over and in my classes in school from elementary through high school.

In addition to being a versatile, prolific actor Stephen is also a gifted writer with a voice that brings life to his stories (a lot of them about his/our childhood growing up but also many about his college, career, relationship with Beth Henley, his marriage and family, and a whole lot of bittersweet honesty about his experiences in drug use). Each episode brings a series of various stories that somehow end up tying into each other somehow. One recent one revealed one of his life's adages not to repeatedly put himself into situations that require a miracle to resolve. He then describes times he's done that.

His podcasts are punctuated by fabulous music that just seems to work with the story. There are YEARS of podcast seasons available. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You won't have to have grown up with us to enjoy them.

I hear you about Howard Stern. I think I've posted in another thread about how he used to talk about his good friend whom he advised not to run for that office. Now he bashes him. I'm not trying to be political here, but I have no respect for people who betray their friends. What a coward.
