You're lucky. We'll be well into the minus temps here until Sunday. So damn tired of winter already.

I am preparing for a snow day tomorrow, too, though we aren't expecting quite as much snow as you @NotAScientist. My youngest has her fingers crossed because there is a math test on Thursday, lol. I just hope the school makes the decision early, I hate when they procrastinate.

As usual, we hope the meteorologist is over hyping. They do tend to get a little too excited for my liking when storms come through lol. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your daughter

I know. The winter exhaustion hit early this year.

When were kids in the States off for Christmas? Mine were off after the 22nd, and they go back this coming Monday. I'm glad I don't have to send them in this cold right now.

Same as @KerryGold, from the 24th to the 2nd. They've only had 2 days of school this week so it wasn't too bad for them.

Snow is definitely sticking out there now but the wind isn't supposed to pick up until sometime around noon. We will most likely lose power so we spent part of the day making sure we had all the necessities.
For those in the path of the storm, stay safe and inside if you can.

Funny how that works. US kids go back to school earlier in the summer than ours do.

We're supposed to get dumped on tonight and tomorrow. I keep putting off getting snow tires for my newer (non-AWD) vehicle. It's like driving a boat when I go around corners.

"Cyclone Bomb" sounds pretty badass for a winter storm. Hopefully everyone out there stays safe.

This is our second cyclone bomb in 2 1/2 months. We were without power for 8 days in October and the damage was pretty extensive due to trees being ripped out of the ground due to soft soil from rain storms. At least the ground is frozen this time but it's going to be really cold. Good luck tomorrow.
