Good grief! Could they rip more off TWD in this episode?

The book they gifted Charlie was thrown back. Was that Mel's doing? I'm going to guess not. I'm going to guess that its a way of showing that she knows Madison's way of life at the diamond (she's probably seen it fail before with other groups) and has rejected it.
And I think Madison is going to double down on trying to save her even if she finds out she killed Nick. And Charlie won't want it.
Madison has been strange in her relationships. I think its going to be all their undoing.
I apolagize if this has already been said. Dillane wanted off the show last year so while I think Gimple is bad news killing Nick was not his idea.
This show is still much better than TWD but Gimple killed TWD and I am afraid he will kill Fear as well.
Before learning Frank Dillane wanted off, I was shocked. I understand the complaints of Nick being killed off but I seriously think this was simply FD going to the showrunners and asking to be let go and instead of fighting and causing bad blood, just let him do his thing. Could it have been Gimple? Sure, he fucks up everything, but honestly if FD wanted to go, he was going to go regardless of Gimple.
That said, considering the writers had to suddenly kill a character who had a ton of development last season after being stifled in S2 . . . I don't think they did a bad job. Nick will still be around in the "Then" parts in future episodes so we can see what happened to him while also getting the shock of his death. I thought it was well done.
They are seriously implying Madison is dead but I hope not. They can't just have Alicia. I love the new cast members (Morgan hilariously being the weak point of the 4 new guys), so the transition is in place but I really want Maddie to stick around another season or two to make a possible "passing of the torch" seem more natural.
