Theory on "Rick Leaving"

IDK, though I do see the 2 shows merging at some point in the near future. This would require either the acceptance that Rick leaves and happens upon the Fear survivors, or Morgan sends someone or himself back from his location to TWD location to make a connection.

I suppose it's possible:
~that Georgie's people have been able to branch out and might know of other pockets of civilization that could somehow lead Rick in the direction of Fear's group;
~that Morgan left some sort of note before he left describing his intention to leave some sort of clues along his path which Rick could follow;
~Rick decides to take a team and travel just to see what's out there. Perhaps he could become some sort of new world explorer, "to boldly go where no man has gone before" so to speak.

I made the assumption that Rick would be dying, but I guess anything is possible.

I don't think they'll kill Rick or Maggie. My thought is that AMC will want to throw some money at them at endgame (particularly Lincoln) and bring them back to wrap up the series.

Maybe this conflict brewing between Rick & Maggie will cause them both to "take stock" of how lost they are and both will head out into the ether to find themselves, together or apart.

From the articles I have read, they all say AL is "leaving". He and Maggie are just supposed to walk off. Not together...but walking off.
Since the news of AL leaving I haven't been on top of things like I use to be.
With Fear killing off Madison and Nick it opens up two srtong roles for our two characters to step into if/when they want.
While over on the sinking ship called TWD, let's see what magic can happen with the $20 million dollar man can do.
Just a few of my thoughts as well. Comic Con San Diego is coming up next month, I'm curious to see the smoke TWD is going to try blowing up our asses.

It's hard to imagine Rick leaving without Michonne and Judith.

But if he does, and Andrew Lincoln really does want off the show for good, I wonder if they'll come right out and say we'll never see him again. Or just leave the fans to wonder if he'll return. Even for walking dead, that's a pretty cheesy way to maintain fan interest.

Rick and Maggie have a big fight over Negan, they shout, scream, throw things, and then they stop. They fall into each other's arms. They kiss passionately while tearing at each other's clothes while falling to the ground and whisper I love you's between deep, passionate kisses.

Michonne walks in and starts throwing shit around while she reaches for her katana and Rick and Maggie run naked out the door and all the way to Texas! I LOVE it!!!!!!

Another thing though: if they merged the shows where would it be set? Would it be still filmed in Georgia, or Texas?

There seems to be a kind of spoiler infrastructure in Georgia by now, but we get no spoilers about FTWD. Is it lack of interest, or are there just no people in Texas to do the spoiling? Is this something TPTB think or care about?

As Rick and Maggie are running naked through Atlanta (never mind that it's not on the way to Texas, just like Dallas wasn't on the way to DC from Houston but that didn't stop Abe and Eugene), they run across Shane's identical twin brother, Blaine, who turns out to be one of the Grady cops we never saw because he was out looking for women to run over to bring back to the hospital. Rick gets the drop on Blaine, though, after Blaine misses them with that Caddy that took Beth, unbeknownst, of course to Rick and Maggie, and rolls it off a bridge. Maggie and Rick run down the embankment to check on him - after all, he most likely has weapons in that car they can use - and get to him just as he's stumbling out of the Caddy.

He's hurt pretty badly and can't walk very well, so Maggie carries him bridal style up the embankment back to the roadway while Rick picks off a few walkers with Blaine's gun. As Maggie sets Blaine down on the road, they lock eyes and realize they have met their soulmates. Rick sees this, and it's deja vu all over again for him, but this time he decides he's not going to fight for the woman he loves and walks away, still naked, to Texas.
