What a thought provoking opinion. Not much of a thread though.
RM is really good...when Aaron is given the proper amount of screen time. THAT'S the problem. They waste too much time on stupid Jadis and her fucked up haircut and other rejects from the writing room that shouldn't make it to the show. There are too many characters to make them all interesting all the time. Aaron is a good one imo and I'd love them to give him more time on the show. Not gonna hold my breath though.
I love Aaron. He's one of the last original safe zone people who I consider one of Team Family. He steps up and he's brave. I think part of the reason some might consider him boring is his relationship with Eric. I've been saying for awhile now that they don't make a good couple, I can't see any chemistry. I'm hoping Eric gets killed off soon and eventually Aaron and Jesus will hook up. That will be a fun and exciting ship. Just my two cents.
I love Aaron and he deserves more screen time. Rm is amazing but the writers don't give him much of a chance to showcase it and that is the one problem with this character (unless one is a homophobe... which many had problems with when he first arrived).
RM doesn't get nearly enough screen time. He's a very well-rounded actor, and the Aaron character could be so much more if the cast wasn't so large.
What a constructive and well thought out OP.
Aaron hasn't had nearly enough screentime while it's wasted on bottle episodes and rick trying to get laid
Sidebar: Rick getting laid is never time wasted, in my humble shipper opinion...lol :P the leader should be happy and satisfied.
I do agree with everyone else who recognizes RM is a talented asset to the cast. I think that tptb recognized that too, when he was cast as Aaron. Aaron has never been lead he is a strong secondary character with potential to be more. Season 8 will see his rise as AOW gets underway and Eric meets his red shirt ending. Aaron can really come into his own with or without a ship as there is a need for a strategic thinker who is good with dabbling in humor since Abe and Glenn death left that vacuum in TF.
Aaron is one of my favorites. I can see why someone would say this as he's the least "valuable" or "popular" of team family so he gets less screen time. They just show him there most of the time..but when he does get the screen time he is such a great character. Hes just very simple, thats what i like about him.
Aaron needs to talk to someone, anyone, in RM's Matthew McConaughey voice. Instant episode of the year.
