Fair enough. I imagine there'd be other states with similar foliage & landscapes they could film in & still have it look like the same setting.

Just another on a growing list.
Actors and production companies can make their own decisions but its laughable that they're more than happy to work with China where women's reproductive choices are very restricted and they murder innocent people for their organs. Not to mention the other numerous human rights issues over there. Way to go Hollywood.
If they want to film where they will probably like the political climate better, they can head up here to Maine. Its also cooler. Not sure how many years TWD has left though.

I hope they do it so they run into enough management problems to the point they finally cancel the fucking show.

Apparently, Maine is on the list of the most expensive states to film in - something with no tax credits AND a film tax charged to companies. And of course, AMC and other publicly traded production companies only care about churning out ridiculous profits for their obnoxiously rich stakeholders.

Otherwise Maine would be a great state to film in - we have all 4 seasons and great landscapes, and even roads that mimic 8 years into the apocalypse!

Youd think that states like Maine would respond to these issues with enticements for large film and television companies to come here and provide a new workforce and a new fold to the economic pool. Of course, they won’t, and instead Maine will continue to just use tourist attraction during their summer and fall as their only source of income and everything else will continue to become more dilapidated.

What a bunch of pussies, go ahead and do it though. Maybe the show will finally get canceled. I’m so sick of tv shows and movies getting political. They can all ram it up their asses

Perhaps they will if they see so many companies thinking about leaving Georgia? If they see the opportunities? Although from your words they seem to lack insight. But one can hope. I have a soft spot for Maine as I'm a Stephen King fan.

Not sure how it's being a pussy to take a stand against an archaic law when said stand would lead to massive upheaval for their production offices, the cast & crew all having to relocate & potentially costing them millions, but whatever.
