Rick Grimes Will Reportedly Reunite With [SPOILERS] In Walking Dead Movies

Rick Grimes was taken away from his loved ones in Andrew Lincolnís final Walking Dead episode back in season 9, when Jadis flew the injured Alexandrian leader away in a chopper. We know his adventures will continue in new environs in Lincolnís upcoming movie trilogy, but fans are keeping their fingers crossed that heíll reunite with friends and family at some point.

But it could also be interesting for Rick to come face to face with an old enemy as well. And according to sources close to WGTC Ė the same ones who told us National Treasure 3 is in development, Han was returning in Fast & Furious 9 and Disneyís remaking Robin Hood, all of which were correct Ė that might just happen, as Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to feature in one of the films. We canít say for certain which one itíll be, but have been told itíll likely be the second movie, with Rick coming across Negan again and the pair having a little reunion.

You can see why the producers would want to bring Rick and Negan together again, too. Sure, it wouldnít be as poignant or emotional a reunion as Rick meeting Judith (though that will happen, too, donít worry), but it would still be fascinating to see Rick reacting to how much Negan has changed since he last saw him. In the years since his disappearance, the former Savior has reformed and recently proved his loyalty to the survivors by killing Alpha.

Looks like Eugene is going to be the main character of The Walking Dead now.

Thank you for sharing this article. Rick Grimes is so far off my show radar right now. In fact, the show's gone off my show radar. If they thought they'd pique our interest with their little finale postponement, I think they failed. At least it seems that way due to the lack of show discussion around here.

I still don’t understand why any of this can’t be done on the show. It’d be their best chance at bringing any small amount of viewership back. I’m guessing that if Rick and Negan are meeting up in a movie that might not air for a few years then any meeting between Negan and Maggie must go alright for Negan.

I can't say that I would care to see this. Honestly. This all feels over.

They really should've just done one movie that brought him back to the show and then he's there for the rest of the show. I get AL doesn't want to keep doing the show but if he knew there was an end in sight I think he'd sign on a for a final season and then it could be ended properly. Well, as proper of an ending that it can be. Obviously Coral is still dead.

They aren't even filming yet and they're making all these announcements. Pretty much just telling the fans that Judith, Negan and Michonne are now completely un-killable in the show until they decide to release these movies. Then that no matter what bad things happen in the movie, Rick isn't really in any danger until the last one.

It’s sad that this show will ultimately go down so disappointingly to how badly this has been mismanaged since S5/6

Ugh, who cares. More and more this franchise makes me feel like an abused housewife. I’m afraid of leaving it, even though all I ever get is endless abuse and bullshit.
