    Sean Connery Dead at 90

    NO!!!!!!!!

Multiple British news outlets reported Saturday that Scottish Bafta-winning James Bond actor Sir Sean Connery has died at age 90. The BBC reported the news citing Connery's family.

Connery played the role of the legendary British spy from 1962 until 1983, the Independent reported.

As the BBC reported, Connery won an Oscar in 1988 for best supporting actor after playing an Irish police officer in The Untouchables.

In 2000, the actor was knighted by Britain's Queen Elizabeth at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Connery celebrated his 90th birthday in August.

This is a breaking news story and will continue to be updated.

He strode across screen, licensed to kill. He moved like a panther, hungry and in search of prey. There was no contest. His great rival, Roger Moore, by contrast, simply cocked an eyebrow, smiled and did a quip.

But whereas Ian Fleming's hero went to Eton, Connery's own background was noticeably short of fast cars, beautiful women and vodka Martinis - either shaken or stirred.

RIP. I never could really get into the Bond movies, but I’ll remember him in The Untouchables, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade and Highlander the most.

I was sad to see this news but 90 is a good long life. Loved him as Indy's dad in Indiana Jones 3.
    RIP Sean

This is sad news, he was a fine actor and a good man. He was my favorite Bond, and I always had a crush on him. What a handsome man--sexiest man of the century!

May he rest in peace .

So very true. Yes, I know he was older than dirt, and I respect that he allowed himself to age without grasping at his lost youth. Been there and done/doing that and enjoying the hell out of it.

So many in this era dismiss Bond and the Bond "girls", but were they to read Ian Fleming (and all of those who ghost wrote in his name) and acknowledge the realities of the times, they could enjoy without fearing threats toward feminist gains (which they probably deny having occurred anyway).

I'm not saying Connery was any sort of great man. I have no idea if he was or was not, and it doesn't matter either way. He entertained the hell out of me which, for me, was all I needed from him. Thank you!
